In this episode of the Snow Horse Marketing podcast, Abigail Shaw, a member of our team, shares her reflections on our recent annual company conference held in Utah. The event, gathering our fully remote team for training and team-building, underscored the importance of in-person interactions for long-term team success.
Abi highlights the exceptional value of meeting the team face-to-face for the first time. While daily online interactions are valuable, the in-person experience allows for deeper relationship-building, fostering camaraderie and creating lasting memories.
Training sessions held in person offered a different dynamic, enabling seamless collaboration, immediate idea exchange, and direct communication without virtual meeting barriers. This approach proved to be more productive and efficient, resulting in significantly greater accomplishments.
This year, we embarked on a new collaborative approach by partnering with another company for select training sessions. This experience affirmed the shared culture of both companies, demonstrating that despite differing goals, similar approaches and values unite us. The exchange of strengths and strategies was invigorating and promises opportunities for future collaborations.
The knowledge-sharing was substantial, with both teams introducing tools and resources that added significant value. Implementing some of these strategies back into our work demonstrates the immediate impact of this experiment.
The conference underscored the irreplaceable value of face-to-face interactions and the transformative power of collaboration. The experience has provided us with fresh perspectives, meaningful connections, and invaluable insights. We look forward to more opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals in similar settings.
